The House Doctor Balance Console Table in Black is a handmade mango wood hallway table with a beautifully carved, fluted top edge.
A slim 35cm depth and a handy lower shelf make Balance a practical fit for hallways, living rooms and behind the sofa. The black finish lets the grain of the mango wood show through, and the carved edge adds a crafted, characterful detail that sets it apart from a plain console. As each one is made by hand, no two tables are exactly alike.
Styling Suggestions
- Style in the hallway with a table lamp, a tray for keys and a stack of books on the lower shelf
- Place behind a sofa as a slim surface for lamps, vases and plants
- Use as a compact desk or record player stand in a small living room
- Slide woven baskets onto the lower shelf for hidden storage
Why We Like It
It's a simple, hardworking shape lifted by one lovely detail. The fluted edge catches the light and gives the black wood real texture, so it feels considered and handmade rather than flat-pack.
