A wide, low stoneware dish that holds a taper candle and catches the drips.

The Nordic Sand Candle Holder by Broste Copenhagen is inspired by pale Nordic coastlines shaped by wind, sea and sand. A reactive glaze in soft sandy grey-white mimics the subtle variations of a beach, and a small central socket holds a single taper candle upright on the broad, shallow plate.

At 18cm across and just 4cm tall, it is a calm, grounded piece for tables and sideboards.

Styling Suggestions

Pair with twisted or straight tapers in cream or taupe for a soft, natural look
Place on a linen tablecloth for a relaxed, coastal-inspired table
Group with stoneware tableware in neutral tones
Use beside the bed or on a desk as a low, stable holder

Why We Like It

The wide dish is practical as well as pretty, keeping wax off the table. The glaze has a lovely gentle texture that feels very Scandinavian.
