A richly textured vase in a deep bronze glaze, made to be noticed.
The Dorthea Vase in Bronze by Broste Copenhagen is covered in small, overlapping disc shapes that build up a rhythmic, almost scaled surface. A reactive glaze pools and shifts across every curve, moving from dark chocolate brown to metallic bronze, so no two vases look quite the same.
At 31.5cm tall with an 18cm diameter, it is a generous statement piece for a sideboard, console or floor.
Styling Suggestions
- Fill with sculptural branches or dried grasses for an autumnal display
- Stand empty on a sideboard as a decorative object in its own right
- Pair with smooth stoneware and linen to let the texture stand out
- Group with warm-toned glass such as the Liva Vase in Brown Leopard
Why We Like It
The surface is genuinely tactile and catches the light beautifully. It has the feel of a handmade studio piece and brings real character to a room.
